About The Position

This role is for a Pro Paint Specialist working in a Home Depot store, focusing on the unique needs of professional painting contractors. The specialist will build relationships with local pros, introduce them to Behr products, and provide exceptional customer service. This includes understanding their needs, mixing paint, gathering necessary tools, and ensuring a quick and efficient checkout experience, aiming to provide a "paint store experience" within the Home Depot environment. The position involves collaborating with Behr's outside sales representatives and Home Depot staff, acting as a vendor representative within the store.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.

Outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
Self-starter.
Previous experience or knowledge in paint or sales is not required, but prior computer knowledge is a plus.
Bilingual skills are a bonus as many professional contractors speak a second language.

Responsibilities

Meet and form relationships with local professional painting contractors.
Introduce yourself to contractors at the Home Depot Pro Desk.
Understand contractors' businesses and needs.
Maintain relationships and follow up regarding their jobs and future needs.
Collaborate with Behr's outside sales representatives.
Assist contractors sent by outside reps, including pulling and tinting orders for pickup.
Mix paint and collect sundry paint tools.
Ensure contractors are processed quickly and efficiently.
Work closely with Home Depot staff, maintaining a professional and helpful relationship.
Enter new leads and contacts into Salesforce (customer relationship management tool).
