About The Position

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills are necessary to use customer management software.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience or knowledge in paint or sales is not required.
  • Prior computer knowledge is a plus.
  • Bilingual knowledge is a bonus, as many professional contractors speak a second language.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Home Depot store as a sales specialist focusing on professional painting contractors.
  • Meet and form relationships with local pros who rely on Behr for products and customer service.
  • Build relationships with pros in the store, even when they are shopping for other items.
  • Collaborate with outside sales reps and provide a "red carpet" experience for contractors sent by reps.
  • Assist contractors by getting the right products for their needs, mixing paint, and collecting any necessary sundry paint tools.
  • Ensure contractors are processed quickly to allow them to return to work.
  • Make professional customers feel like they had a paint store experience.
  • Support the Home Depot Pro Desk and introduce yourself to contractors.
  • Get to know contractors, their business, and their needs.
  • Maintain relationships and follow up regarding their jobs and future needs.
  • Work closely with Behr's outside sales reps.
  • Take care of customers when they come into the store, including pulling and tinting orders for pick up.
  • Work closely with the Home Depot staff, acting as a professional and helpful vendor.
  • Enter new leads and contacts into Salesforce, the customer relationship management tool.
