This PRN Strength and Conditioning Coach position is located at the Frisco Ambulatory Surgical Center and requires less than 19 hours per week at the discretion of the supervisor. The coach will perform interventions in accordance with professional standards and hospital policies. They will collaborate with therapy providers and the Bridge Coordinator to develop guidelines and protocols for performance improvement. The role involves coaching children, both healthy and recovering from injury, using age-specific training guidelines aligned with Long-Term Athletic Development. The coach will care for patients with beneficence and autonomy, providing age-appropriate, family-centered care based on current evidence, provider prescriptions, and regulatory standards. Documentation per departmental policy is required, along with seeking opportunities to improve departmental performance and optimize processes. Collaboration with various stakeholders, including therapy and medical providers, athletes/families, hospital staff, and other professionals, is essential for meeting individual goals and improving processes, relationships, and outcomes. The position also involves participating in the education of new employees, students, volunteers, and staff, as well as engaging in professional development activities and sharing knowledge. Marketing initiatives, performance improvement processes, and outcome studies to promote the department and profession are also part of the role, along with participation in community activities and wellness programs.
