About The Position

Hospice of Wichita Falls is seeking compassionate nurses to join their Homecare Team. For 41 years, Hospice of Wichita Falls has been the only non-profit community-based hospice in the area, providing services in 12 North Texas counties. They offer premier care while honoring patient wishes. Requirements

• Graduate of approved school of professional nursing
• Recipient of a current license by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
• Ability to understand the physical, psychosocial and spiritual concerns/and problems of terminally ill patients in a home setting.
• Possess critical thinking skills.
• Compassionate
• Effective Communication both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all patients visited have addressed any nursing needs or determine the need for other team members to assist.
• Assist the patient or family in determining the best plan of care that meets their needs.
• Direct other team members and ensure that they are exceeding patient expectations.
• Document care provided and ensure team members are also documenting their care.
• Paint a picture of the patient through documentation so that other team members are aware of expectations and what is currently working.
• Focus on the patient's greatest need and providing "Care, Hope, and Support for all when Illness threatens life."
• Ensure the patient's experience is the memory of their loved one.
