About The Position

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced PRN Pharmacist to join their Pharmacy team in Orlando, Florida. This role supports Devereux’s National Center and Centers throughout the country with pharmacy-related needs. The PRN Pharmacist will collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver excellent pharmacy service, focusing on accuracy and customer service. The ideal candidate is a great collaborator, can juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and has a "roll-up-your sleeves and get the job done" attitude. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by State Board of Pharmacy in Florida.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a hospital, long-term care or retail pharmacist.
  • Broad knowledge of professional and commercial phases of the pharmaceutical industry, with emphasis on dispensing, drug actions, side effects, contraindications and normal dosage ranges, and Federal, State and local laws regarding the pharmacy and dispensing of drugs.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong customer service skills and team player with the ability to adapt to change and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Multi-tasker with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license and car is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assure that all prescriptions/medications dispensed are appropriate to the ages and populations served.
  • Compound and dispense medications by means of standard physical and chemical procedures to fill written medication requests by authorized individuals.
  • Ensure compliance with patient care quality standards.
  • Assist in the purchase and inventory maintenance of all pharmaceuticals and related substance/supplies.
  • Participate in the department’s planning, education and human resource management.
