About The Position
Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, this position is responsible for providing pharmaceutical services which will assure optimum clinical results, with a minimum potential for hazard to the patient, at minimal cost.
Requirements
- Knowledge of all drug products, their uses, side effects, toxicities, and therapeutic dose range is required.
- Pharmacist licensed in the State of Kentucky with experience as a Pharmacist.

Responsibilities
- Develops, maintains, and shares with other Pharmacists, state-of-the-art drug therapy expertise.
- Serves as drug information expert.
- Accurately supplies medications to patients.
- Carefully identifies, prevents, and follows up on drug related problems.
- Supervises ancillary pharmacy personnel to optimize their efficiency and productivity.
- Optimizes pharmaceutical care in a therapeutic specialty area.
- Uses hospital resources in the most cost-effective manner.
- Collects and provides data when required.
- Keeps workplace clean and orderly.
- Utilizes time in the most effective and productive manner.
- Complies with established personal protective equipment requirements necessary for protection against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids, chemical disinfectants, radiation, asbestos, and other hazardous substances.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
