About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable PRN Medication Aide (Med Tech) to support our residents with dignity, respect, and professionalism. Wage starting at $20.50. We’re looking for compassionate, adaptable, and certified Medications Aides on a PRN basis to support our residents with their medication needs as well as care tasks in a safe, respectful, and caring environment. You will work with our professional care staff in assisting residents with daily activities, monitoring their health, and fostering a nurturing environment that promotes independence and well-being. Make a difference in the lives of our residents, their families and our community. The Medication Aide is responsible for safely administering prescribed medications and treatments to residents in accordance with state regulations and facility policies. This role includes observing residents during medication administration, documenting accurately, and communicating any concerns to the Clinical Director, Wellness Coordinators, or designated personnel. In addition to medication administration, the Medication Aide supports residents with activities of daily living —including personal hygiene, social engagement, cognitive support, and physical well‑being. You’ll help promote independence, honor resident choice, and uphold dignity through every interaction.

Requirements

  • Completion of state-approved medication assistance training.
  • Experience with ADL in residential care.
  • Compassionate, empathetic approach to resident care.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a team and across generations.
  • Flexible, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrates sound problem-solving abilities.
  • Meets age requirements per state regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior direct care experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments safely and in compliance with state regulatory requirements.
  • Observe residents during medication administration and document effects, including unexpected or adverse reactions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely entries in medication administration records.
  • Communicate concerns, changes, or observations to appropriate wellness leadership.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living and encourage independence.
  • Support a positive, respectful, and person‑centered environment.
