About The Position

The RN House Supervisor serves as the administrative and clinical leader of the hospital during assigned shifts. This role is responsible for overseeing hospital operations, supporting clinical staff, ensuring quality patient care, and responding to emergent situations. The House Supervisor acts as a key resource for staff, physicians, and leadership while promoting a safe and efficient care environment. Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required within 6 months
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required within 6 months
  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving expertise
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and operational excellence
  • Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)

Responsibilities

  • Provide hospital-wide leadership and oversight during assigned shifts
  • Coordinate staffing and patient care activities across all departments
  • Serve as a mentor, resource, and support for nursing and clinical staff
  • Facilitate patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Respond to and manage urgent and emergent situations
  • Collaborate with physicians, department leaders, and administration to ensure continuity of care
  • Promote adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety initiatives
  • Support conflict resolution and problem-solving in real time
