About The Position
The Therapist I on the Tooele MCOT team provides rapid-response crisis services in homes, schools, workplaces, shelters, and other community settings. The role supports people experiencing acute needs through assessment, de-escalation, crisis intervention, and connection to community resources, with the goal of promoting safety, stability, and access to local support. The Therapist I conducts mental health assessments, develops individualized care plans, and delivers evidence-based psychotherapy. The role works with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to coordinate client care and achieve treatment objectives. It also requires compliance with ethical and legal standards, participation in professional development, and timely documentation. The position is PRN with flexible days, on-call availability, and after-hours and weekend work. Candidates must be residents of Tooele County. Pay starts at $31.88 per hour and is calculated based on years of licensed experience.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or equivalent.
- ACMHC, AMFT, CSW, CSW-I, or LMSW licensure in the state of practice.
- Must be a resident of Tooele County.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to diagnose mental health and substance abuse disorders.
- Develop, implement, and manage personalized care plans with specific treatment goals and objectives.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions and crisis support using approved evidence-based tools.
- Follow agency documentation policies throughout treatment, including assessments, care plans, treatment transitions, discharge plans, and client care.
- Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary teams regarding clinical aspects of treatment.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards set by licensing boards and state regulations.
- Meet direct care expectations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to meet licensure, certification, and agency requirements.
- Provide rapid-response services in community settings, including homes, schools, workplaces, and shelters.
