•$20 - $22•Onsite

About The Position

Youth Villages is hiring a PRN Community-Based Specialist for its Intercept® program, an evidence-based, intensive in-home service designed to keep families together by preventing out-of-home placements or facilitating reunification. The program serves youth from birth through age 18 who face serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma. Services are provided in families’ homes and communities, not in an office, and use strength-based support and evidence-based mental health interventions to help families build lasting change, parenting skills, and communication skills. The specialist carries a small caseload as assigned on an as-needed basis and provides individual and family sessions three times weekly, scheduled around family availability. The role includes ongoing youth assessment, participation in weekly professional-development meetings, collaboration with providers and systems partners, crisis support, and timely documentation. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional, based on the availability of the youth and families served. Travel of up to 60–80 miles to meet families is required, with additional travel possible. Community-based staff are reimbursed for applicable mileage. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, an automobile for work purposes, and proof of auto insurance. Compensation is $20–$22 per hour, based on education and clinical license. Benefits are excluded for variable-status employees.
