About The Position

Youth Villages is hiring a PRN Community-Based Specialist for Intercept®, an evidence-based, intensive in-home program that works to keep families together by preventing out-of-home placements or supporting reunification. The program serves youth from birth through age 18 who face serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma. Services are delivered in families’ homes and communities, not in an office, and provide individualized, strength-based support using evidence-based mental health interventions and parenting and communication skills development. The specialist carries a small caseload on an as-needed basis and provides individual and family sessions. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional to accommodate the youth and families served. The role includes travel of up to 60–80 miles to meet families, with additional travel potentially required. A current, valid driver’s license, an automobile for work purposes, and proof of auto insurance are required. Applicable mileage is reimbursed. The position pays $20–$22 per hour, based on education and clinical license. Benefits are excluded for variable-status employees. Youth Villages describes its mission as helping children and families live successfully and is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectful service to the communities it serves.
