WVU Medicine and the Department of Emergency Medicine seeks a PRN Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to practice at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Emergency Medicine. In addition to providing comprehensive outpatient clinical care to patients in an emergency medicine capacity and establish preventive health practices for patients.

Requirements

  • Candidate must have a PA or NP degree and be eligible for state medical license.
  • Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing (for NP).
  • National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers (for NP).
  • Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania (for NP).
  • CNOR Certification required (for NP).
  • BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
  • Bachelor’s Degree as Physician Assistant, or Master’s Degree as Physician Assistant required (for PA).
  • Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant (PA) training program required (for PA).
  • Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants required (for PA).
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the PA Board of Medicine (for PA).

Nice To Haves

  • Emergency medicine/ Urgent care experience preferred.
  • Eligible new graduates will be considered.
  • Additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.

Responsibilities
