About The Position

The Training Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Industrial Fire Program within the Emergency Services Training Institute (ESTI). This position ensures the effective administration of program activities through the accurate maintenance of records, reports, and related documentation. The Training Manager also supports the Program Director in budget management, staffing coordination, and overall program execution. Additionally, this role evaluates instructional staff through classroom observations and training activities, providing coaching and professional development to enhance instructional effectiveness and maintain high standards of program quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of experience in Industrial Fire or a closely related field.
  • Valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.
  • National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1081 certification (Industrial Fire Brigade - Exterior, Interior, and Leadership levels).
  • NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor I certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree with seven years of experience in Industrial Fire or a closely related field.
  • High School Diploma/GED with nine years of experience in Industrial Fire or a closely related field.
