About The Position

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Private Residence Estate Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall appearance of a private residential estate. This position is responsible for ensuring the property, buildings, grounds, and equipment are maintained to the highest standards while providing exceptional discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is experienced in residential property maintenance, mechanically inclined, proactive, and capable of independently managing daily upkeep tasks.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of residential, estate, facilities, or property maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of general building systems and repair techniques
  • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting preferred
  • Ability to operate landscaping and maintenance equipment safely
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional demeanor with a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Estate, luxury home, or hospitality maintenance experience
  • Pool/spa maintenance knowledge
  • Generator and irrigation system experience
  • Basic computer and smart home system familiarity
  • Trade certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs for estate homes, guest houses, garages, and outbuildings
  • Monitor and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, irrigation, lighting, and other mechanical systems
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and address issues promptly
  • Coordinate and oversee outside vendors, contractors, and service providers
  • Maintain estate grounds including walkways, fencing, outdoor furniture, and seasonal property needs
  • Assist with snow removal, storm preparation, and emergency property response
  • Maintain tools, maintenance equipment, utility vehicles, and inventory supplies
  • Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and general handyman repairs
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of all maintenance areas
  • Support special projects, estate events, and seasonal property preparations
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times while working in a private residence environment
