About The Position

Ellie Mental Health is seeking a Private Practice Mental Health Therapist for their Gurnee, IL location. Founded in 2015 by licensed clinicians, Ellie Mental Health aims to improve and expand access to quality mental health care. This role is for experienced therapists who want the freedom of private practice without the administrative burdens. The company handles billing, insurance claims, supervision, marketing, scheduling, referral development, administrative support, office space, EHR systems, and compliance, allowing therapists to focus on clinical excellence and client care. This is not an entry-level position, and candidates should have an existing caseload or referral network.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a behavioral health field
• Illinois licensure or pre-licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LCPC, PsyD; ALMFT, LSW, or LPC)
• Experience with assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfort working with children, teens, families, or adults
• Ability to pass a background check
• Existing client base or referral network
• Experience with children, couples, and/or family work
• Familiarity with case note documentation and EHR systems

Nice To Haves

• Therapists with an active caseload who can transition clients with them
• Clinicians with strong word-of-mouth referral streams

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop treatment plans
• Provide high-quality therapy services to clients
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Maintain a caseload of approximately 25 sessions per week (full-time)
• Deliver evidence-based interventions
• Collaborate with colleagues and referral partners
• Participate in team meetings and trainings
• Option to provide supervision for pre-licensed clinicians
