About The Position

CPIC is seeking a Private Markets Associate to focus across private markets asset classes, including private equity, private credit, and real assets. This role is based in one of our offices, preferably San Francisco, CA or Pittsburgh, PA. Our office culture emphasizes in-person collaboration and interaction, supported by a hybrid work policy that encourages office presence to foster a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will possess at least 3 years of experience in private markets, with a primary focus on private equity or private credit.

Requirements

3 – 5 years of experience in private markets research
Bachelor’s degree
Strong technical knowledge of the Microsoft Suite
Familiarity with industry databases (e.g. Pitchbook), AI tools, and coding concepts
Demonstrate strong and effective communication, organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work in a team based/collaborative environment.
Must accept and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Adherence to all compliance policies & procedures.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in finance or MBA preferred
CFA charter and/or CAIA

Responsibilities

Support manager due diligence, development of investment content, and Private market Consultants with client service relationships.
Provide support on drafting RFP responses by providing data, analyses, and written responses as directed by supervisors and independently.
Effectively present research findings and conclusions internally, and as needed to client staff and prospective clients.
Interact with managers and intermediaries to collect data, including special ad-hoc requests.
Proactive sourcing of investment opportunities.
Analyze data to reach, support, and present reasoned conclusions.
Draft presentations and written reports.
Summarize key data, findings, and conclusions.
