About The Position

This is a full-time, long-term live-in caregiving position with one private family in Williamsville, New York. The selected caregiver will relocate to and live in the client’s home, with a furnished private bedroom and private bathroom, and will assist the client throughout each day as needed. This is a true live-in arrangement, not an hourly, overnight-shift, or occasional agency assignment; scheduled breaks to leave the home will be arranged by agreement. The client is a woman in her late 90s who uses a walker. Care includes assistance with activities of daily living, memory care, medication reminders, and fall prevention. Household and companionship duties include meal preparation, driving the client in her vehicle, errands, light housekeeping, laundry, pet care, and companionship. The role requires independently managing routine care and household responsibilities, communicating with the client and others involved in her care, and reporting meaningful changes in her condition or functioning. The caregiver will be employed and paid directly by the private family as a W-2 household employee through the family’s payroll service. Grandma Joan is an independent third-party recruiter and does not employ caregivers or make hiring decisions. The family determines the employment terms and makes the hiring decision. The anticipated move-in date is normally approximately two weeks after the family hires its selected candidate. The family may offer to pay relocation travel expenses. Compensation is an annual salary of $120,000 or more, depending on the final schedule and the selected candidate’s experience. The position includes a rent-free furnished private bedroom and a private bathroom. The caregiver must have health insurance or be willing to obtain an individual policy if hired.
