About The Position

Working under the direction of senior investment professionals, the Private Capital Analyst supports the sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, selection, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of private investment opportunities across private equity, private credit, private real assets, secondaries, co-investments, and fund-of-funds strategies. The analyst is responsible for conducting investment research, analyzing manager performance and portfolio construction, preparing investment memoranda, supporting operational due diligence activities, and producing ongoing monitoring reports for approved managers and funds. The role requires strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills, as well as a passion for private markets investing and manager research. The analyst also serves as a resource for advisors and clients by helping develop and present educational content, investment insights, and portfolio construction guidance related to private equity and broader private capital allocations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in: Private equity, Investment management, Investment banking, Consulting, Asset management, Manager research, Corporate finance
  • Strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills.
  • Maintain knowledge of evolving fund structures, evergreen vehicles, co-investment programs, continuation vehicles, and secondary strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience conducting investment due diligence on private equity managers and funds.
  • Familiarity with private equity fund structures including legal and subscription documentation.
  • Progress toward or attainment of professional designations such as: CFA or CAIA
  • Experience with investment databases and research platforms such as Preqin, PitchBook, CAIS,
  • Understanding of portfolio construction and asset allocation principles for private market investments.
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth or institutional investors.
