Private Duty Weekend Nurse (RN/LPN) - WOW Hourly Incentive
About The Position
BrightStar Care Louisville has an immediate need for Private Duty Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in the Louisville, KY area for weekend shifts. Available shifts include Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM. Both full-time and part-time shifts are available for weekend days and overnights (3rd shift), with an additional hourly incentive. This role involves providing skilled bedside care to adult patients requiring assistance with g-tube/trach/vent/SP cath care in a one-on-one setting.
Requirements
- Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in Kentucky
- Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required with bedside care preferred
- Experience with g-tubes, trachs/vent and cath care preferred
- Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
- Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must work all scheduled weekend shifts to qualify for the $5 extra per hour incentive
- Minimum 24 weekend hours required for eligibility
- Any call-offs result in loss of incentive; base pay only will apply
- Ability to commute/relocate: Louisville, KY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities
- Provide thoughtful care to client & patients based on personalized Plan of Care
- Monitor and track changes in the client/patient’s conditions and needs, and keeps the Nurse Manager and any other appropriate personnel informed
- Proactively updates client/patients’ family on plan of care, health changes, and concerns
- Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and organization skills needed
