About The Position
BrightStar Care of Lubbock is hiring a dependable registered nurse to provide private duty nursing care to a pediatric patient during school hours in Littlefield, Texas. This consistent weekday assignment involves attentive care, monitoring changes in the patient’s condition, and working closely with the patient’s family and care team. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for 40 hours per week. Pay is $30–$35 per hour, paid weekly.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Texas RN license.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Willingness to learn portable defibrillator management.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Own device and reliable internet connection to access the schedule and complete charting.
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric, private duty, or home health experience; preferred but not required.
- Respiratory care experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care during school hours.
- Administer medications as ordered.
- Monitor respiratory status and changes in condition.
- Monitor and manage the portable defibrillator.
- Follow activity restrictions and safety measures.
- Communicate with the family, school, and care team.
- Complete required clinical documentation.
