Private Duty Registered Nurse

About The Position
BrightStar Care of Lubbock is seeking a dependable Registered Nurse to provide private duty nursing care for a pediatric patient during school hours in Littlefield, Texas. This is a consistent weekday assignment, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. The nurse will provide attentive care, monitor changes in the patient’s condition, and work closely with the patient’s family and care team.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Texas RN license.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Willingness to learn portable defibrillator management.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Own device and reliable internet connection to access the schedule and complete charting.
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric, private duty, or home health experience is preferred but not required.
- Respiratory care experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care during school hours.
- Administer medications as ordered.
- Monitor respiratory status and changes in condition.
- Monitor and manage the portable defibrillator.
- Follow activity restrictions and safety measures.
- Communicate with the family, school, and care team.
- Complete required clinical documentation.
