About The Position

BrightStar Care Louisville is hiring for Immediate Private Duty Nurse (RN/LPN) Need in the Louisville KY area with $2000 Sign On Bonus and Weekend WOW Incentive (Additional $5/hr for two 12 hour weekend shifts). Registered Nurses & Licensed Practice Nurses needed to work 2:1 (1 Nurse, 1 Aid & 1 Client) Private Duty with Quadriplegic Adult patient in the Louisville 40202 zip code. Full and Part time shifts for Days, Nights, Overnights (3rd shift) & Weekends Available for RNs & LPNs.

Requirements

Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in Kentucky
Certified CPR or BLS
Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required with bedside care preferred
Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to commute/relocate: Louisville, KY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

Experience with complex medical needs
Trach
Cath Care
Experience with g-tubes, trachs/vent and cath care preferred
Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)
BLS Certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Provide thoughtful care to client & patients based on personalized Plan of Care
Monitor and track changes in the client/patient’s conditions and needs, and keeps the Nurse Manager and any other appropriate personnel informed
Proactively updates client/patients’ family on plan of care, health changes, and concerns
Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and organization skills needed
