Private Duty Nurse (RN/LPN) Needed ASAP - $2000 Sign On Bonus
About The Position
BrightStar Care Louisville is seeking a Private Duty Nurse (RN/LPN) for immediate hire in the Louisville, KY area. This role involves providing 2:1 private duty care for an adult patient with quadriplegia. Full and part-time shifts are available for Days, Nights, Overnights (3rd shift), and Weekends for both RNs and LPNs. The position offers competitive hourly pay, a $2000 sign-on bonus, and a $5/hour weekend incentive for eligible nurses. The company is an Enterprise Champion for Quality for 8 consecutive years and is Joint Commission accredited. They have also received the 2025 and 2026 Louisville Employer and Provider of Choice award by Home Care Pulse.
Requirements
- Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in Kentucky
- Certified CPR or BLS
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required with bedside care preferred
- Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
- Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Experience with g-tubes, trachs/vent and cath care preferred
- Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide thoughtful care to client & patients based on personalized Plan of Care
- Monitor and track changes in the client/patient’s conditions and needs, and keeps the Nurse Manager and any other appropriate personnel informed
- Proactively updates client/patients’ family on plan of care, health changes, and concerns
- Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and organization skills needed
