About The Position

Amada Senior Care is seeking compassionate and dependable caregivers in Galveston, Texas, and surrounding areas to provide non-medical, in-home support for seniors and veterans. The role focuses on helping clients maintain their safety, comfort, independence, and quality of life by providing companionship, assistance with personal care, medication reminders, mobility support, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and reporting changes in condition. The position offers flexible scheduling, paid training, and a supportive work environment.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
• 2 years of caregiving experience is required
• Willingness to work with both male and female clients
• Must be willing to travel within a 20-mile radius and to surrounding areas
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience using a Hoyer lift and gait belt preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
• Providing medication reminders
• Assisting with mobility, errands, and appointments
• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping
• Observing and reporting changes in condition
• Encouraging independence and participation in daily activities
