Private Client Tax Manager/Senior Manager
About The Position
Mowery & Schoenfeld is seeking an ambitious and curious tax or senior tax manager with particular interest and expertise in private wealth and high-net worth group, mentoring younger staff, seeking ongoing learning, and providing exemplary client service. Tax Managers operate as leaders and mentors within our Firm by demonstrating the ability to lead engagements by meeting client needs with a sense of urgency, develop recommendations and maintaining client relationships by balancing the client needs along with other assignments and deadlines, provide proactive advice based on their knowledge of tax law, particularly within the private wealth and high-net worth group, demonstrate initiative to creatively solve issues in collaboration with the lead, leverage technology to automate both internal and client processes to improve efficiency, and act as a mentor to younger staff and work directly with Senior Managers and Partners. Qualified candidates who can work in-office or hybrid schedules are strongly preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other relevant discipline
- 7+ years of tax experience in public accounting, with 1+ years in a senior managerial role preferred
- CPA-certified and active license
- Expertise in management of Individual, Gift, Estate, and Trust income tax compliance and providing knowledgeable review of complex returns
- Background and experience managing and actively providing advisory and tax solutions to clients

Responsibilities
- Lead engagements by meeting client needs with a sense of urgency.
