About The Position

At Chase, the Private Client Banker represents the company’s brand and culture by providing welcoming, attentive service and banking solutions to affluent clients and other branch clients. The role manages clients’ complete banking relationships across the company, using a proactive, disciplined, advice-based approach to grow balances, recommend suitable products and services, acquire new clients through referrals, and develop internal and external sources. The banker also connects clients with specialists for more complex financial needs and helps them use Chase’s digital banking technology.

The position is subject to Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements and requires NMLS registration under the SAFE Act. Employment is contingent on meeting applicable qualification, registration, renewal, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of branch banking banker experience or equivalent financial-services sales experience, with demonstrated success acquiring clients, deepening relationships, and generating revenue.
• Demonstrated success using a value-added, relationship-oriented approach to acquire and deepen client relationships.
• Excellent in-person and telephone communication skills, including tailoring product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
• Ability to create memorable client experiences.
• Ability to resolve client issues quickly and effectively with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate within established risk parameters and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including completing required training.
• High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
• Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, applicable state registration (including Series 63 if required), and Life licenses. Unlicensed applicants must obtain required licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire; study materials and support are provided.
• Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
• Must meet applicable Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements and comply with the SAFE Act, including required NMLS registration immediately after the start date and timely annual renewal and updates.
• Employment is contingent on JPMC review of criminal conviction history, credit report, NMLS information, and other relevant information. A felony conviction within the last seven years disqualifies applicants from consideration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, friendly service and create a welcoming client experience; explain the value of Chase Private Client to eligible clients.
• Manage assigned clients and their banking relationships using an advice-based approach to recommend products and services suited to their financial needs.
• Communicate clearly and consultatively, asking questions and listening to understand and anticipate client needs while building trust.
• Educate clients about and connect them to digital banking solutions, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs.
• Learn products, services, and procedures and collaborate with or connect clients to specialists for specialized financial needs.
• Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
• Acquire new clients by soliciting referrals and developing internal and external sources.
• Meet risk and compliance obligations, including required training and applicable Loan Originator and NMLS/SAFE Act requirements.
