About The Position

MSCI is seeking a product manager for its Private Assets Product team focused on Sustainability & Climate (S&C). The role supports development of AI-enabled platform solutions for private-market participants, including institutional investors and managers, with tools for workflows and investment processes across physical risk, transition risk, nature risk, and emerging risks.

The product manager works with senior MSCI leadership and cross-functional teams to translate client needs, market insights, and data capabilities into products. In an AI-first product environment, the role spans discovery and validation through development, launch, and ongoing enhancement. It is execution-oriented and collaborative, with exposure to product strategy, client engagement, and go-to-market execution, and an opportunity to grow in scope over time.

The role requires at least five years of S&C product management experience and expertise spanning financial services, private markets, artificial intelligence, and sustainability and climate. The position offers a salary range of $138,000–$179,000 per year and eligibility for an annual bonus.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in an S&C product management role, with domain expertise in financial services, private markets, artificial intelligence, and S&C.
• Deep understanding and experience in at least one of physical risk, transition risk, or nature risk.
• Experience in business and financial analysis, data analysis, process mapping, and specification writing, and familiarity with the product management and development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of and experience working with AI tools to prototype and develop solutions.
• Experience in AI-led innovation and execution.
• Detail-oriented and analytical problem-solving approach, with a strong execution mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Energetic, self-motivated, intellectually curious, with a growth mindset and passion for innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead ideation, discovery, and execution of new S&C products for private markets, grounding AI in the solutions.
• Build MSCI’s S&C strategy for private markets across data management, analytics for physical risk, transition risk, nature and biodiversity risk, and emerging risks, as well as data products such as taxonomies and ratings.
• Support business-case development through market due diligence, competitive analysis, opportunity sizing, and market positioning.
• Evaluate product-creation options, including buying, building, or partnering.
• Design pricing models and support sales campaign planning and execution.
• Work with Program Management, Marketing, and Coverage on go-to-market planning and execution, including providing subject-matter expertise for product support collateral and client-facing documentation.
• Analyze product usage statistics and reporting to identify insights into client behavior, needs, product opportunities, and risks.
• Prepare reports and analysis for MSCI senior management business reviews.
• Support strategic client opportunities from a product perspective.
• Build deep knowledge of Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
