About The Position

Cyera is seeking a Privacy Specialist to help grow its privacy line of business. This is a technical, customer-facing go-to-market role supporting the sales organization, rather than an in-house privacy or compliance position. The Privacy Specialist partners with Account Executives and Sales Engineers to translate prospects’ privacy requirements into tailored demonstrations, proofs of value, and RFP responses that support sales opportunities. The role engages with prospects and customers across Cyera’s privacy capabilities, including data subject requests, data mapping, privacy assessments, risk management, and consent and preference management. The specialist presents to executive privacy leaders as well as technical practitioners, builds tailored demonstrations, and produces customer-ready written materials. Field insights also help shape the product and Cyera’s approach to the intersection of AI, privacy, and data security.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in a privacy-focused pre-sales, solutions engineering, privacy consulting, or technical privacy implementation role.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver tailored product demos to technical and executive audiences, both in person and virtually.
  • Strong working knowledge of privacy laws and frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other US state laws; emerging AI governance frameworks; and privacy operations concepts such as DSRs, data mapping, RoPA, privacy impact assessments, and consent.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, accurate, persuasive responses, proposals, and customer-ready documents.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to translate technical capabilities into business value for privacy, legal, security, and data leaders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage concurrent pursuits, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment, working in or alongside Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success.

Nice To Haves

  • Everyday fluency with AI tools for research, call preparation, drafting, and follow-up, and willingness to share effective practices with teammates.
  • Curiosity about how AI adoption increases the importance of privacy and data governance, and ability to explain this to customers through topics such as assessments, data mapping, and processing records.
  • Experience selecting, implementing, or operating privacy tools in-house or through consulting engagements.
  • Privacy certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT.
  • Familiarity with data security concepts such as data discovery and data classification.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the privacy subject matter expert for sales and solutions teams, participating in discovery calls, demos, and executive briefings with prospects and customers.
  • Build and deliver tailored demos that connect Cyera’s privacy capabilities to each customer’s regulatory drivers, operating model, and use cases.
  • Lead proof-of-value engagements from scoping through customer readout, including defining success criteria, coordinating tenant and environment setup with the account team, and aligning product capabilities to customer use cases.
  • Own privacy responses to RFPs, RFIs, and related questionnaires, providing accurate, consistent, and timely answers while coordinating input from internal teams.
  • Coach go-to-market teams on privacy discovery and qualification and help them pursue privacy opportunities with prospects and existing accounts.
  • Run the privacy demo request process, including intake, preparation documentation, agendas, and engagement of the appropriate subject matter experts.
  • Provide privacy-specific input to sellers and Revenue Operations so privacy opportunities are accurately scoped and recorded in the CRM.
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for active pursuits, proofs of value, and RFPs.
  • Hand off work clearly to Customer Success and Implementation teams to support smooth transitions from sale to deployment.
  • Act as a power user of the privacy products, maintaining working knowledge of modules, integrations, and configuration to demo and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Capture structured customer feedback, feature gaps, and win/loss insights and relay them to the Product team to inform the roadmap.
  • Develop demo scripts, talk tracks, and recorded walkthroughs across the privacy capabilities.
  • Enable and certify technical teams to present privacy modules confidently.
  • Work with Product Marketing to turn field learnings into positioning, collateral, and customer stories.
  • Translate regulatory and market developments, including GDPR, US state laws, and AI regulation, into positioning, sales plays, and customer guidance.
  • Help shape Cyera’s point of view on the intersection of privacy, data security, and AI.
