About The Position

Cyera is seeking a Privacy Specialist to support and expand its privacy line of business in a technical, customer-facing go-to-market role. The role partners with Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and other sales and solutions teams to translate prospects’ privacy requirements into demonstrations, proofs of value, and RFP responses that support sales opportunities. It covers Cyera’s privacy capabilities, including data subject requests, data mapping, privacy assessments, risk management, and consent and preference management. This is an external-facing sales-support role rather than an in-house privacy or compliance position. The Privacy Specialist presents to executive privacy leaders, technologists, and operators; builds tailored demonstrations; and develops persuasive customer-facing responses. The role also contributes field insights to product development and helps customers navigate the relationship between AI, privacy, and data security.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in a privacy-focused pre-sales, solutions engineering, privacy consulting, or technical privacy implementation role.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver tailored product demonstrations to technical and executive audiences, both in person and virtually.
  • Strong working knowledge of privacy laws and frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other US state laws; emerging AI governance frameworks; and privacy operations concepts such as DSRs, data mapping, RoPA, privacy impact assessments, and consent.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, accurate, persuasive responses, proposals, and customer-ready documents.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to translate technical capabilities into business value for privacy, legal, security, and data leaders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage concurrent pursuits, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment, working in or alongside Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success.

Nice To Haves

  • Everyday fluency with AI tools for research, call preparation, drafting, and follow-up, and willingness to share effective practices with teammates.
  • Ability to explain how AI adoption increases the importance of privacy and data governance, including assessments, data mapping, and processing records, and to turn that into customer conversations.
  • Experience selecting, implementing, or operating privacy tools in-house or through consulting engagements.
  • Privacy certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT.
  • Familiarity with data security concepts such as data discovery and data classification.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the privacy subject matter expert for sales and solutions teams in discovery calls, demonstrations, and executive briefings.
  • Build and deliver tailored demonstrations that connect Cyera’s privacy capabilities to customers’ regulatory drivers, operating models, and use cases.
  • Lead proof-of-value engagements from scoping through customer readout, including defining success criteria, coordinating tenant and environment setup with the account team, and aligning product capabilities to customer use cases.
  • Own privacy responses to RFPs, RFIs, and related questionnaires, coordinating internal input and delivering accurate, consistent, timely answers.
  • Coach go-to-market teams on privacy discovery and qualification, and help pursue privacy opportunities with prospects and existing accounts.
  • Manage the privacy demo request process, including intake, preparation documentation, agendas, and engaging appropriate subject matter experts.
  • Provide privacy-specific input to sellers and Revenue Operations so opportunities are accurately scoped and recorded in the CRM.
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for active pursuits, proofs of value, and RFPs.
  • Coordinate handoffs to Customer Success and Implementation teams to support transitions from sale to deployment.
  • Develop working expertise in privacy products, modules, integrations, and configuration to demonstrate and troubleshoot them.
  • Capture structured customer feedback, feature gaps, and win/loss insights and relay them to Product to inform the roadmap.
  • Develop demo scripts, talk tracks, and recorded walkthroughs for privacy capabilities.
  • Enable and certify technical teams to present privacy modules.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to turn field insights into positioning, collateral, and customer stories.
  • Translate regulatory and market developments, including GDPR, US state laws, and AI regulation, into positioning, sales plays, and customer guidance.
  • Help shape Cyera’s perspective on the intersection of privacy, data security, and AI.
