About The Position

The City of Chandler Fire Department is seeking a Privacy & Compliance Senior Analyst to review and analyze transportation patient care reports for compliance and quality assurance. This role will function as the department’s HIPAA and Billing Compliance subject matter expert, assisting in the development and implementation of the Chandler Fire Department's Compliance Program. This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a medical-related field, business administration, public administration, or related field.
  • 1 year of experience in patient care reporting or medication documentation review, including data compilation, analysis and quality assurance of patient care reports.
  • NAAC Certified Ambulance Compliance Officer (CACO), NAAC Certified Ambulance Privacy Officer (CAPO), and NAAC Certified Ambulance Coder (CAC) within one (1) year of hire; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Must pass an Office of Inspector General exclusion list verification.
  • Must pass a driving record check.
  • Must pass a reference check.
  • Must be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze transportation patient care reports for compliance and quality assurance.
  • Function as the department’s HIPAA and Billing Compliance subject matter expert.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Chandler Fire Department's Compliance Program.
