About The Position
We are seeking a Privacy Attorney to support our client, a large consumer services company. In this role, you will support key privacy initiatives, including negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), optimizing cookie and marketing technology configurations, assessing data processing activities, and strengthening privacy compliance across the business.
Requirements
- Experience reviewing, negotiating, and redlining Data Processing Agreements.
- Knowledge of applicable global privacy regulations and privacy compliance practices.
- Experience with website cookies, marketing technologies, and consent management practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, technology, and problem-solving skills.
- Juris Doctor degree or equivalent and licensed to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting organizational privacy programs, including data-flow mapping and assessments of data processing activities.
Responsibilities
- Review, negotiate, and redline Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) to ensure compliance with applicable global privacy regulations.
- Assess and optimize website cookie and marketing technology configurations, collaborating with engineering teams to implement consent management best practices.
- Prepare quarterly privacy program status reports for executive stakeholders, highlighting progress, key risks, and strategic next steps.
- Partner with operations and business leaders to map data flows, assess processing activities, and strengthen privacy compliance.
