About The Position

As a Privacy Analyst at MAG, you will support the delivery of our global privacy program by providing proactive, expert guidance to colleagues across the organization. You will consult with business teams, offering practical advice on all initiatives using data to contribute to the design and strengthening of privacy practices and processes. You will help champion privacy awareness to promote a privacy-aware culture.

Requirements

  • Post secondary education (computer science, information systems, business, law, cybersecurity, or related field of study).
  • 2+ years direct privacy experience.
  • Practical knowledge in applying privacy laws & regulations (e.g. CCPA, HIPAA, PIPEDA, GDPR) to business operations.
  • Experience with privacy-enhancing technologies and ability to translate privacy concepts to business terms.
  • Understanding data protection principles.
  • Expert communicator (verbal and written) – able to distill complex, detailed information into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to delivery of 3-year privacy strategy and work plan.
  • Support the development and delivery of privacy communications and training to promote a strong privacy awareness culture across the organization.
  • Support business areas with privacy risk assessments and identification of actions within risk tolerance. Central point of contact for all regions (Canada, U.S., UK, EU).
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of data flows to identify and assist in resolving compliance issues.
  • Maintains global privacy risk register.
  • Contribute to development of multi-year privacy technology strategy and implementation plan.
  • Manage consumer requests for data subject requests (DSR) within regulatory timeframes.
  • Breach management – contributes to management of potential incidents.
