About The Position

This position leads a team responsible for prior authorization and reimbursement support activities for pain intervention therapies. The position oversees daily operations, drives service excellence, monitors performance metrics, and partners with internal and external stakeholders to support patient access, coverage, and reimbursement processes. This is a fully remote role based in the United States, supporting employees working remotely from the State of Minnesota, with no travel requirement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of experience OR Associate's Degree and 3+ years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 1+ year of supervisory experience OR 3+ years of customer service experience.
  • Experience in customer service, patient access, reimbursement support, prior authorization, or healthcare operations.
  • Experience leading, supervising, coaching, or directing the work of employees or teams.
  • Experience working with healthcare payers, insurance verification, authorization processes, or reimbursement activities.
  • Proficiency with customer service systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
  • Possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.

  • Experience supporting medical device, MedTech, healthcare, or life sciences organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily prior authorization and reimbursement support operations for pain intervention therapies.
  • Coach, develop, and manage team performance to achieve service, quality, and productivity objectives.
  • Monitor payer requirements, coverage policies, and authorization processes to support timely patient access.
  • Resolve complex reimbursement, coverage, and escalation issues with payers, providers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze operational metrics and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
  • Partner with reimbursement, sales, clinical, and patient access teams to address coverage and payment barriers.
  • Develop and deliver training on prior authorization workflows, payer requirements, and reimbursement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, payer guidelines, and applicable healthcare regulations.
