About The Position

UW Madison's Digital Publishing and Printing Services (DPPS) is seeking a customer service representative to join the team in our digital print facility. In this role, you will use a combination of your print production experience and customer service skills to help serve the UW campus and beyond! DPPS is one of the largest in-house print production centers within the State of Wisconsin government. This position requires work to be performed in-person, on-site, at 2109 S. Stoughton Road, Madison, WI (off campus). Our state-of-the-art facility offers free, on-site parking. Per University policy, transportation between home and assigned work location is not payable/reimbursable and will be at the expense of the employee.

Requirements

Demonstrated professional experience in customer service
Demonstrated professional experience in the printing industry
Broad understanding of digital printing and print bindery functions
Basic computer and technology knowledge, including Excel and Microsoft platforms
Proven capability to organize workload, manage competing priorities, and meet strict deadlines

Nice To Haves

Experience organizing and maintaining customer-facing data and paperwork
Experience with print management software

Responsibilities

Coordinates production schedules and tracks print job progress to meet deadlines and ensure completion
Serves as an initial point of contact for individuals providing basic information about printing services and addressing needs
Answers incoming phone calls to the department
Processes print orders from an online queue
Prepares related written correspondence to clients, vendors, and units
Reviews orders for accurate funding information and enters billing into database
Maintains detailed print records on projects and keep other records as required
