About The Position

The Printing Operator works at Novolex’s Greenville, South Carolina facility on a Monday-Friday second shift, scheduled for 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The role operates and adjusts machinery to produce plastic parts while maintaining machine efficiency and uptime and meeting customer and quality requirements. The stated starting compensation is $22.16 per hour, with a $0.75 night-shift differential; compensation is based on experience.

The operator maintains a safe, clean, and friendly work environment, performs quality measurements, interprets process data, and makes machine adjustments within process control limitations. The role also identifies machinery repairs, reports and documents downtime, and works with process technicians and other support staff to maintain quality and uptime.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of previous mechanical and/or technical experience in a related manufacturing setting.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and friendly work environment.
• Ensure customer requirements are met or exceeded.
• Perform quality measurements.
• Interpret data and make necessary machine adjustments within process control limitations.
• Operate and adjust machines within process limitations to produce various plastic parts while maintaining optimum machine operating efficiency and uptime.
• Identify and troubleshoot needed machinery repairs and follow reporting procedures.
• Generate breakdown work orders and document related downtime.
• Work closely with the process technician and other support staff to assure maximum quality levels and machine uptime.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
