About The Position

The Printing Department Floater is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the printing department by providing hands-on assistance across multiple production areas. This role helps ensure efficient workflow, maintains quality standards, and contributes to the timely completion of print production activities while adapting to changing departmental needs.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including the duration of an 8-hour shift or longer as required
  • Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, move, and position materials or products weighing up to 30 pounds
  • Willingness and flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, as business needs require
  • Ability to wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including appropriate footwear and other designated safety gear
  • Demonstrates reliability, dependability, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Loader/Unloader to accurately position and arrange blank garments on the screen-printing press for production
  • Verify garment colors, styles, and quantities to ensure accuracy for each print run
  • Provide support to the Printing Machine Operator and assist with production-related tasks as needed
  • Assist in the Screen Department to support workflow and production demands when required
  • Prepare, mix, and maintain inks according to job specifications and quality standards when necessary
  • Inspect printed garments to verify print quality, color consistency, and overall appearance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including routine cleaning of equipment and workstations
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Keep all sensitive matters confidential
  • Other duties as assigned
