In this hands-on manufacturing role, you will work in a clean, climate-controlled production facility operating and supporting large commercial printing presses that produce millions of direct mail advertising pieces delivered to homes across the country. No commercial printing experience? No problem. If you have manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn, we will provide paid, hands-on training through our VMC Progression Program to help you build a long-term career.

Requirements

Previous experience in manufacturing, machine operation, warehouse production, commercial printing, or another industrial environment is preferred.
Commercial printing or heat-set web press experience is a plus, but not required.
Ability to read and understand basic technical instructions.
Basic math skills.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor large commercial printing press equipment.
Set up paper, plates, ink, and other materials needed for production.
Monitor print quality throughout production and inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Perform routine machine adjustments and basic preventative maintenance to maximize production and minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and notify Senior Press Technicians of more complex repairs.
Assist with press changeovers and production setup.
Maintain clear communication regarding equipment performance, quality, maintenance, and production concerns.
Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe while following all company safety procedures.
Work closely with teammates to meet production schedules and quality expectations.
