About The Position

This position is 100% on-site at the Windsor site. This position is located in Windsor, Ontario, one of two sites located in Canada offering softgel development and manufacturing capabilities for the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health industries. We have a broad range of integrated formulation, manufacturing, analytical and packaging services to offer full-service turnkey solutions. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Printer is responsible for utilizing the printing machines to print soft gel capsules while monitoring/maintaining the quality of capsules produced.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED/CAEC and/or educational credential assessment (ECA) is required.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical and/or GMP facility is preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills to compute simple calculations (adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, percent and averages).
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Possess a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidates with non-Canadian credentials must provide an evaluation confirming the Canadian equivalency of the credentials as determined by the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada (ACESC) such as WES.

Responsibilities

  • Operate printing machines and complete all documentation involving printing operation in accordance to manufacturing directions (Print Master) and standard operating procedures.
  • Check capsules for quality and record results.
  • Troubleshoot, connects problem, repair or issue repair requests on printing machines and related equipment as required.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping including cleaning printing machines, floors, handling and reporting of scrap, and completion of necessary information in the equipment logbooks.
  • Participate in cGMP Self Inspection Audits as required.
  • Qualified employees may be requested to assist Supervisors in the training of employees.
  • Comply with all SOPs and GMPs.
  • Perform other duties as required
