About The Position

Responsible for the preparation and operation of printing press equipment, in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures.

Requirements

Previous experience with UV cylinder, flatbed, or similar press.
Experience with sheet fed presses on a variety of substrates desired.
Experience with a variety of substrates desired.
Problem solving ability.
Experience with equipment operation, safety guidelines.
Must be team-oriented, organized, detailed and able to perform some physical activities.

Responsibilities

Read all press operator functions as noted on the work order/job ticket.
Prepare inks for proper color and consistency.
Maintain proper work flow and distribution throughout run where required.
Match ink colors as necessary.
Visually inspect forms throughout run for quality checks, registrations, looking at inking, clear impression.
Coordinate with Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs and, when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
Maintain knowledge of safety requirements of job and equipment.
Be familiar with Safety Data Sheets regarding chemicals used.
Operate press to produce customized jobs.
Visually inspect forms throughout run for quality checks.
Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
Monitor and manage inventory of press/collator supplies.
Inform supervisors of equipment problems.
Wear appropriate safety protection when using or mixing chemicals.
Other duties as assigned.
