Location: 850 76th Street S.W. - Byron Center, Michigan 49315 Position Summary: This role is responsible to operate and maintain web printing press to produce high volume, quality advertising material. May provide coaching and training to assistant press operator and web press helper.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (Required) or GED.
  • Three years web press or large offset printing experience.
  • Good communication skills and proficient in reading and writing to understand written directions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and resolve print related issues.
  • Perform basic math functions as related to press operations.
  • Proficient with all web press configurations and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain web press along with all peripheral equipment such as splicer, stacker, folder and strapper to print quality materials; ensure quality of the printed product including color reproduction, product specifications, imaging quality specifications.
  • Review and ensure accurate documentation of requests (i.e., time, materials, run speeds, etc.) and complete assigned requests in a timely manner.
  • Operate hi-lo moving roll stock and skids into holding or trucks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment; follow safety regulations and policies.
  • May conduct inspections of press/equipment as required to ensure such equipment is in good working order.
  • Maintain production area and perform general maintenance and repairs on production machines.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
