About The Position

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Some printing and mechanical experience desired.
  • Be an active learner and listener with some troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
  • Will need tools to properly do the job after a 90-day probation period.

Responsibilities

  • Run the dry offset presses to the established production speeds and quality standards running at or above 105% efficiency.
  • Monitor quality of print throughout production runs…assuring that print match’s signed sample at all times.
  • Keep scrap at or below 2.0%.
  • Read and fully understand the ECS and shop orders making sure everything (packaging, labels, etc) is correct on final Product that goes out the door.
  • Oversee work crew that consists of packer and loader.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot, maintain, and perform minor maintenance on Presses if need be.
  • Load or pack a press during an 8 or 12-hour shift monitoring inks and quality at the same time.
  • Abides by and enforces all WNA policy and procedures.
  • Works with a safety 1st no compromise attitude.
  • Follows All GMP Policy and Procedures.
  • Keep press and surrounding area clean and organized with all adjustments clean of ink and no tape or temp repairs on the press.
  • Works the hours they are scheduled to work since the position of operator is very critical in the day to day operation of the plant. Work shift will fall into the 24/5 or 24/7 operations of the plant.
  • Accept responsibility and be held accountable for product that they and their crew send out the door.
  • Be a team player that doesn’t mind helping others.
