As a Senior Network Engineer, you will serve as the on-site Principle Network Engineer in Montgomery, AL, ensuring mission-critical connectivity for government operations through disciplined design and operational rigor.

Requirements

10+ Years Experience in enterprise networking roles
CCNP certification or Palo Alto Network Security Architect credential
Proven Subject Matter Expert (SME) capability

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Software Defined Networking (SDN) is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Architecting and delivering Enterprise Network Architecture solutions across routed and switched environments
Leading advanced Network Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex incidents
Driving Network Design and Implementation efforts, including configuration control and documentation
Strengthening security posture through Network Hardening and standards-based engineering
Performing targeted checks of utilization and circuit bandwidth, escalating and reporting anomalies to Government leads
Analyzing and simulating traffic in production and lab environments, validating updated configurations before rollout
Installing, upgrading, patching, and hardening routers, switches, load balancers, and serial consoles
Refining or retiring automation scripts to reduce repeat effort
Documenting each incident or change for audit readiness
Providing written notice to the ITEC/PC within 4 hours when accountable equipment must move
