About The Position

As a Principal, you will have the opportunity to change lives through education by leading a team of educators within our school campus to achieve student academic excellence and make our charter schools the best place to learn, grow and work. You will do meaningful work that makes a difference for our educators and students by serving as the administrative official with responsibility for the educators, students, management, and operations of the school. You will help articulate the school’s mission and vision with the aim of ensuring all have a common understanding and are positioned to work cooperatively. You will select and hire educators and support them to be successful in their roles and supervise the implementation of the educational and instructional programs. You will maintain high standards of student safety, conduct, and corrective action as necessary while acting as a student advocate to ensure the rights of all students are respected and that all have equal access to the educational opportunities necessary to meet their needs and abilities. You will promote effective communication and cooperation among educators, students, parents and the community. You will create a safe environment that cultivates learning, engages the interests of the students and educators and allows them to perform at their very best. You will guide others through a variety of leadership activities designed to promote the social, physical and intellectual growth that is needed for success. You will master our proven philosophy of education and guide the learning process and educators and students toward the achievement of the goals and celebrate them when they do their best work. You will encourage educators and students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character throughout their lives.

Requirements

Having a master’s degree in education, educational leadership, or closely related field.
Holding a state department of education principal preK-12 administrative certification in the state the position is located in.
Having four years of proven, successful experience as a classroom teacher with qualified content expertise.
Having three years of supervisory/leadership experience.
Having knowledge of principles/practices of school administration.
Passing a criminal history background check.
