About The Position

TRC Advisory is a Chicago-based boutique consulting firm that helps clients define and deploy the strategies and tactics necessary to outperform. We focus on those decisions and actions that will maximize value creation via both growth and profitability improvement. At TRC, our team is our greatest asset. We pride ourselves on always being able to field the “A-team” as part of any client engagement, and we are looking to build to that team at the Associate Principal level.

Requirements

• Relevant Bachelor's Degree (BS or BA) from demanding four-year college or university with demonstrated outstanding academic achievement
• 10+ years of consulting or relevant business experience
• Problem solvers with analytical capabilities who have an insatiable thirst to solve complex problems
• An entrepreneurial spirit that drives you to always improve upon the status quo
• Results-oriented team players with strong team and business-building skills
• Demonstrated experience in strategy and/or pricing projects
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
• Willingness to travel to the client site up to 3-4 days / week (varies by client and / or engagement)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for being a team thought leader and driving full workstreams while working directly with mid to senior-level clients to develop insight and build alignment.
• Develop and execute full consulting projects and serve as lead on insight development for those projects.
• Consistently establish and then meet deadlines with minimal errors.
• Mentor the team while answering questions and providing direction.
• Act as a good teammate, while proactively finding ways to create leverage.
• Regularly engage with the client and own senior-level client relationships.
• Actively identify opportunities to create value with clients and communicate in and organized and knowledgeable manner.
• Identify high-value client opportunities, drive appropriate follow-on work, and take lead on firm communication and client development efforts.
