About The Position

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School in Falls Church, Virginia, is now accepting applications for the position of Principal. Our growing Preschool through 8th grade student population of 234, from 184 families, fulfills a special mission in a diverse community - to Discover, Live, and Proclaim joyfully our Catholic Faith. As our principal, you will have the opportunity to work in a close team environment - teachers, staff, and parents - and to make a big impact on the lives of our students by helping them grow in holiness and knowledge. Our Catholic Identity is manifested in works of charity, prayer, weekly Mass, and a variety of creative expressions designed to enliven our students' faith. Our academic excellence is demonstrated through high standardized test scores and our students' admission to the high schools of their choice. The school's academic program is enhanced by music, computer, and foreign language curricula, as well as a new emphasis on welcoming students with special needs. Applicants should have a strong commitment to the Catholic faith and seek to be a positive, committed leader working with our community to continue our academic excellence and spiritual growth.

Requirements

  • Faith-filled, practicing Catholic with a strong commitment to the Catholic philosophy of education and the new evangelization.
  • Proven educational, managerial, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Five years of teaching experience in a Catholic school.
  • Master's Degree in School Administration.
  • Appropriate Virginia State and Diocese of Arlington certifications must be obtained within three years of hire.
