About The Position

This position serves as the direct supervisor for the staff of Eagle School International. The role involves advising on and implementing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with State and Federal codes and regulations, managing staffing, fostering parent/family and teacher relations, engaging in community outreach, setting the school calendar, acting as the public face of Eagle School, creating a welcoming and spiritually invigorating culture, and recruiting new students. The Principal is responsible for maintaining and overseeing all public records. Additionally, this role includes half-time classroom teaching, with specific subjects to be negotiated.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the direct supervisor for the staff of Eagle School International.
  • Advise on and implement policies and procedures of Eagle School.
  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal codes and regulations.
  • Manage staffing in all areas of the school.
  • Oversee parent/family relations and teacher relations.
  • Engage in community outreach.
  • Set the school calendar.
  • Act as the public face of Eagle School at school-sponsored and non-school activities.
  • Create a welcoming and spiritually invigorating culture at Eagle School.
  • Recruit new students.
  • Maintain and oversee all public records.
  • Teach half-time in the classroom.
  • Maintain, review, and implement policies and procedures established by the Eagle School Board.
  • Work toward compliance with the accreditation of Eagle School or improve its standing with the proper accrediting agency.
  • Supervise the international program Coordinator and their duties.
  • Maintain Homeland Certification status of Eagle School for international students.
  • Review codes and regulations for voucher schools in Wisconsin and ensure Eagle School compliance.
  • Recruit, examine, hire, and supervise all necessary staff (teaching, maintenance, food service, athletics, support) with school board approval, ensuring staff agreement with Eagle School International standards and beliefs.
  • Require and supervise teaching staff in lesson plans, grade entry into FACTS, and other teacher-related reporting.
  • Supervise and offer training to teaching staff in instruction, classroom management, time management, and adherence to Eagle School International standards, policies, and practices.
  • Conduct annual written staff reviews, including formal meetings with recommendations for improvement, continuing education, or classroom conduct.
  • Dismiss underperforming staff who are unable or unwilling to meet expectations.
  • Conduct public relations events (newspaper articles, radio shows, open houses, community events) to promote Eagle School positively.
  • Draft an annual proposed budget for school board approval or alteration.
  • Approve purchase orders, billing, payments, and other financial transactions.
  • Serve as the point of contact for parents with questions or concerns about the school or policy.
  • Refer teacher/student/parent conflicts to the teacher unless there is an irreconcilable difference.
  • Review all State requirements and ensure Eagle School International compliance (e.g., DPI annual reporting, immunization records).
  • Maintain a close professional relationship with the school board, attending meetings and making recommendations.
  • Establish and uphold professional ethical standards for all staff, including access to social media and examination of personal/spiritual lives.
  • Continually work to improve the quality of education and the spiritual environment of Eagle School.
  • Provide instruction to teachers on classroom methods, discipline, and available/required training.
  • Handle extraordinary discipline situations with students.
  • Set and maintain a welcoming and loving spiritual tone for those at Eagle School and its visitors.
  • Supervise and maintain the moral and spiritual character of Eagle School.
