About The Position

Elastic is seeking a Principal Value Engineer to partner directly with Enterprise and Strategic clients and help them understand and realize the value of Elastic’s solutions. The role contributes to client growth, lasting relationships, and company success by assessing solution value, quantifying ROI, analyzing business challenges, and recommending tailored solutions. The Principal Value Engineer works collaboratively with cross-functional teams, develops client-specific value delivery strategies, and presents findings and business cases to stakeholders, including executive leadership. This position requires travel to meet clients approximately once per month.

Requirements

• At least 5 years in client-facing roles in a technical environment.
• At least 5 years of experience in value engineering, management consulting, or a related strategic customer-facing role within the enterprise software industry.
• Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in technology solutions.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with value-based selling methodologies.
• Proven track record of building and delivering complex business cases to C-suite executives at global enterprises.
• Expertise in identifying and prioritizing use cases, implementing improvement measures, and establishing a value delivery model to drive change for Elastic customers.
• Ability to project manage multiple workstreams, including defining scope, expectations, timelines, and delivery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to act decisively amid ambiguity.
• Ability to travel to meet clients approximately once per month.
• Competence in financial modeling and ROI analysis.
• Demonstrated success in driving measurable value realization for enterprise and strategic clients.
• Track record of facilitating high-impact workshops that align client objectives with solutions.
• Experience delivering presentations to C-suite executives and translating complex technical concepts into business value.
• Experience with business value assessment techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assess solution value propositions, quantify potential ROI, analyze business challenges, and recommend tailored solutions.
• Prepare and present findings to stakeholders and facilitate workshops to explore solution benefits and align on value.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to identify client needs and solution opportunities.
• Collaborate on proposals to align value across the organization and support a unified approach to client success.
• Develop and execute client-specific value delivery strategies to maximize the client experience.
• Monitor and report on initiative success, provide insights to optimize value propositions, and facilitate workshops to align on goals.
• Evaluate processes to enhance client satisfaction and value realization.
• Lead the development of business value reviews for key initiatives and create business cases to guide strategic investments and resource allocation.
• Analyze market data and client feedback, facilitate stakeholder discussions, and present findings and business cases to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
