Lead the development, management and continuous improvement of technical documentation supporting end-user product releases and associated regulatory requirements for the Boston Scientific Cardiac Diagnostics, Inc. portfolio of hardware and software products. Create instructional and training materials and support the development and publication of high-quality technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technical communication, English, computer science, journalism or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' professional technical writing experience, particularly within specialized software, medical or regulated environments.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting regulated medical device software and/or hardware development.
  • Experience creating documentation for complex software systems, embedded software, firmware and hardware products.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure technical accuracy in documentation and end-user content.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with software development processes and software as a medical device (SaMD).
  • Experience in the health care sector.
  • Experience with MadCap Flare or a related single-source authoring tool, such as Adobe FrameMaker.
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the definition of the architecture and structure of end-user documentation supporting the Boston Scientific Cardiac Diagnostics product portfolio.
  • Synthesize complex technical, software and product information into clear, easily understood end-user content.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, designers and subject matter experts throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Promote best practices for structured authoring, content reuse, metadata management and version control.
  • Ensure processes and deliverables adhere to applicable regulatory and quality guidelines and requirements.
