About The Position

The Principal Technical Program Manager, Business Insights, owns whether business partners succeed with the Business Insights platform by driving adoption, trust in the data, and reduced effort to get answers. This senior individual-contributor program role (Nordstrom job level 19) is accountable for rollout readiness, customer success deliverables, success measures, and the operating rhythm needed to move from the current state to the Business Insights vision. The role partners with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and business leaders, leading without formal authority. It owns rollout timing and execution and how outcomes are measured; Product owns roadmap decisions, while Engineering owns building and operating the platform. The position translates the Business Insights vision into a quarterly plan, establishes governance and review cadences, and leads organizational change management. It builds partner onboarding, enablement, support, and legacy-report transition plans; manages partner relationships and feedback; and tracks adoption and partner burden. Success means business partners experience fewer manual requests, faster answers, and trustworthy data, while leadership can rely on consistent measures. This is not a hands-on engineering role. The position requires enough familiarity with data and analytics platforms—including data pipelines, semantic layers, and BI tools—to work credibly with engineering and analytics partners. The role also mentors program managers and cross-functional partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to run partner- or customer-facing rollouts and manage expectations when plans change.
  • Experience leading organizational change management, such as Prosci/ADKAR or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder skills, with proven ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and comfort using data to support decisions.
  • Familiarity with data and analytics platforms, including data pipelines, semantic layers, and BI tools, sufficient to work credibly with engineering and analytics partners.
