About The Position

The EC2 Infrastructure Services organization is responsible for ensuring the continuous availability of EC2 servers for customers, playing a crucial role in EC2's elasticity. With AI infrastructure becoming increasingly important within EC2, this role involves building systems, services, and automation to operate AI infrastructure at scale. The position requires a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead large, cross-organizational technical programs focused on building and recovering EC2 services, forecasting unsellable rates, setting goals for platform-level unsellables, and collaborating with EC2 leadership, Finance, and Capacity organizations to address usage and capacity constraints. The role involves translating build and recovery commitments into actionable technical and operational plans, ensuring solutions adhere to AWS architectural and operational standards, and maintaining clear communication with senior internal leaders and external partners. A significant part of the role includes regularly preparing program updates, strategy documents, and plans for senior leaders, including VPs and Directors. The position demands deep, hands-on technical expertise in AWS architectures, including data analytics, alongside exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
